Particles / Organic
A study of Houdini-style particle aesthetics through generative AI — where grains, pollen, and tiny spheres behave like landscapes, plants, and weather.

I've always been drawn to particle work in Houdini — the way millions of tiny units can behave like fluid, fabric, or living tissue. This project is a study of that aesthetic built entirely in generative AI, with one constraint: the particles had to feel organic. Not floating in clean studio space, but intertwined with leaves, blooms, water, and stone.
The work was made primarily in Midjourney, using style references built from photos I took of plants and leaves around me. Selected frames were upscaled and animated in Kling AI. What you see here is a first chapter — an exploration of texture, color, and behavior before moving into more controlled compositions.

Leaves & Particles
The strongest thread of the project: real foliage fused with particle masses, where you can't quite tell where the plant ends and the matter begins. This is the territory I want to develop further.

Coral & Bloom
Dense clusters of pink, magenta, and orange particles forming structures that read as coral reefs, flower beds, or alien botany. The style references here were pushed toward saturation and tactile density.

Flow & Motion
Sweeping, current-like compositions where particles behave as fluid. These were the most natural candidates for animation — the still frames already imply movement.

Process :

— Imagery: Midjourney, with custom style references built from personal reference photography — Upscaling: Magnific / Midjourney upscaler — Animation: Kling AI (v2.6 and v3.0)— Photoshop for micro touch — Editing: minimal — the goal was to preserve the texture of the generation, not polish it away

This is an ongoing exploration. The next chapter will focus on controlled geometric particles and longer-form motion sequences.

Thanks for checking!
